Java: The new Uniface?
March Hare's consulting staff have
over 10 years experience at implementing independent enterprise
wide applications, across multiple
operating systems and databases.
It is for these reasons that we strongly recommend the use
of the Uniface development product. For many years it has been the
only genuine tool for creating and integrating disparate systems,
running on almost any hardware, any operating system and any database.
However, there is a new tool rapidly coming of age, called Java.
It has growing industry acceptance, a base price of zero dollars,
ranging up to application servers by software giants like IBM and
Oracle retailing at 1/10th the price of a Uniface application server.
We strongly recommend Java to our clients for tasks where it will
do the job well, and Uniface where the technology is not ready yet.
