[Cvsnt] mail notification error

We have been using CVS NT for most of this year with few problems. Recently
we have been getting errors from the e-mail notifications after a commit.
The message is:

cvs commit: warning: unrecognized response `Can't call method "mail" on an
undefined value at
    e:\cvstools/cvs_loginfo_email.pl line 47, <STDIN> line 7' from cvs
server

Once it happens, it seems to require a restart of Windows 2000 to fix
things. I haven't been able to pin down what is setting it off.

Any ideas?
