[Cvsnt] Cant get any remote protocols working - please help

I should point out that the patch is only for demonstration purposes; I 
didn't even try to see if the patch is suitable in any way for 
production use.

Also, the braces I added should not enclose the "if (CVSroot_prefix != 
NULL)" block; I only meant for them to enclose the call to check_password.
