[Cvsnt] CVS reports: cvs [XYZ aborted]: reading from server: Invalid argument

I recently had a problem with a single file refusing to accept a
commit command. All other files worked OK. This turned out to be
caused by some lock being placed by the operating system (W2000
Server) on that file (maybe from a stray cvs process or similar).
I found this out when I tried to move the ,v file to a different place
in the repository and got the OS error that the file was in use and
could not be moved.
The only fix for this that I could find was rebooting the CVS server,
but once that was done the file behaved normally again.
Maybe you are having similar problems?
