[Cvsnt] Upgrade problem from 1.11.3.1 beta 4 to beta 6

OK, after Bernard Nisets advice I put my password to the
CVSROOT/passwd file without encryption and I can log in.

But another problem popped up: somehow the repository prefix does not work
anymore.

I used to have
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CVS\Pserver]
"RepositoryPrefix"="F:/"
"Repository0"="F:/SCM"

and use /SCM as the root. Now I had to delete the prefix,
use F:\SCM in login, and edit the root files to get CVS to
work. Somehow I was able to login using the prefix, but
update didn't work.

This is a bug too, right?

I'll guess, that we get beta 7 soon.

Kari

I don't think it's about the files, I have them in place.
I can log into :pserver:cvs at cvs.cvsnt.org:2401/usr/local/cvs
and get the latest CVSNT source, so my client should be OK.

I installed directly over a working configuration.

It's something about authorization, password error,
impersonation or similar.

I tested enabling/disabling impersonation, no change
in the error message.

If I remove myself from the CVSROOT/passwd directory,
I get the error message:
    C:\WINNT>cvs login
Logging in to :pserver:hoijarvi at 128.252.167.115:2401/SCM
    CVS password: ********
cvs [login aborted]: no such user hoijarvi in CVSROOT/passwd

when I add myself into it:

    C:\WINNT>cvs login
Logging in to :pserver:hoijarvi at 128.252.167.115:2401/SCM
    CVS password: ********
cvs [login aborted]: authorization failed: server
128.252.167.115 rejected access to /SCM for user hoijarvi

I just recreated my password with this pwgen version of
pwgen that sits in my server.

the service folder contents are:

I went and added the other protocols that I don't use to the
setup, but obviously that had no effect.

Somehow, the service does not autheticate me. Any ideas?

Thanks for help, Kari
