Guided by the installation instruction InstallCVSNT.html i came to
number 9 and failed with the error as written in the subject.

The cvsroot is set to
set cvsroot==:ntserver:localhost:/TEST

and the message written in the subject i got when i type on the cmd.
cvs passwd -a myusername

I am sure that the server is running.
Can anyone give me some suggestions or ideas for what at least look on
my system to add a user the test repository and to start some trials?

Try "cvs -v", it should give "Concurrent Versions System (CVSNT) 1.11.1.3
(Build 57d) (client/server)".
The dlls should be in your path too.

IP-numbers work for :pserver:-connenctions.

For :ntserver: you need the name of the machine your are connecting to. If
you are sitting at the server console type "SET" and you will see the name
to use instaed of "localhost".
