Why .NET? Are you so desperate to make sure that it will never run 
anywhere else than the next-generation Microsoft platform? Sorry to be 
so harsh, but this is an idiotic waste of time and completely misguided.

If you have the energy to "add some features", add it to the current 
CVSNT sources (in consultation with other developers, of course), and 
make sure that they work cross-platform as much as possible.
