Other users have reported similar problems with SSH on Win95/98/ME.

I believe this may be broken in the latest version of CVSNT.

You could try with TortoiseCVS 1.0.2, which uses CVSNT build 57h
(unfortunately, the CVSNT web site does not offer the older versions for
download anymore).
