Did you notice the "optionally" in my suggestion? I was thinking about
something like having to tick a non-persistent checkbox on a command dialog
(aka an option on the commandline) to suppress (i.e. auto-confirm) the
message. This way it would still have to be a fully conscious action.

I haven't used Tortoise for quite some time, and don't feel the need to do
so any time soon (no offence meant - I was very impressed when I tried it
but I'm simply content with WinCvs at the moment). Thus, what IS the
TortoisePlink approach?
