There are a number of utilities "out there" that will do that already
created, depending on what platform the servers are running on. Should be
easy enough to locate.

This has been discussed before and there is no way to do it fully for
both-ways
synchs. The only way you could have it working is if you arrange the CVS
server
in India as the primary one where all the commit and tagging is done.
Then in USA you have a slave server into which there is noone allowed to do
anything else but check out files. No commiits or tagging allowed.
(This can be done by putting all users on this server into the
CVSROOT/readers
file).
In this case you can have a timed file updater that copies changed files
from the
India repository to the US server and overwrites existing files in USA.
This keeps the two servers in sync. But there is no cvs command to do this,
you
have to make a type of backup/replication system that works on the files
themselves.

Hi Bo,

Thanks for your reply.

Here is my problem:
We have one CVS server in US office. At present we are connecting using
WinCVS client to that server from India and it is taking lot of time to
check-in and check-out because of bandwidth constraints. Is it possible
to setup a server in India and it should automatically communicate with
US server?
Is there any third party tool available for this?

Thanks for your cooperation.
