There is no need to do this. And it would make the repository incompatible
with all other CVS implementations...

Simply set the compression flag on in the NTFS file system and then NT itself
will handle compression transparently.

Have you ever thought about having the files on the CVS server compressed to
save space, seeing as CVS links against zlib anyway?
