[cvsnt] cvs [login aborted] ... no such user - need immediate help

Hi all,
I am using cvsnt version 1.11.1.3(Build 57c).
When I am trying to login into cvs I got the following error:

Fatal error, aborting.
cvs [login aborted]: sankaran: [no such user]

I tried with the following commands in the DOS prompt:

1. set CVSROOT=:pserver:sankaran at sankaran:/local
2. cvs login

Plz help me out.
