Yes.  Your CVS version is likely because you installed the "stable" version
of WinCVS, which ships with CVS v 1.11.  Installing the "beta12" version
will include a CVSNT of recent vintage (~build 75 if memory serves).

I have a similar problem. I get

$ cvs version

Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.11 (client/server)

I installed from cvsnt.org. I am running on XP. Does that mean that I have
standard CVS?
