HI EVERY BODY,
i am more of linux man then windows, but facing lot of problems with
windows.

1st : I have just downloaded SOS server and client from
http://www.sourceoffsite.com, Ready to take a trial
version test with Microsoft VSS.The main hurdle i see here is It cost
$250US, looking for economical solution for my company.

2ndly : I have also tried CrossOver Office (see
http://www.codeweavers.com)
which is a very good software to install Microsoft Office on Red Hat
8.0, NOW IN THAT SOFTWARE THERE IS A OPTION OF "UNSUPPORTED SOFTWARE
INSTALLATION", --> Install Microsoft VSS , NETSETUP (WHICH IS VSS
CLIENT). ..........well well , this is very clear now....

We have VSS Client on Linux and VSS server on Windows NT,
Question:: How to access srcsafe.ini (meant for remote VSS Client) ??? ,
as there is no support of netBIOS protocol of window on linux ( no
network broswing, by name so called, windows network)

3. Is there any way by which i can attach or map Microsoft VSS Server to
WINCVS on Windows and access CVS (OR WINCVS) client on linux. (may be
with help of CVSNT).

Kindly suggest some ways to make things work better.

Regards

PS: SourceOffSite from http://www.sourceoffsite.com for VSS server
connection. Though it seas it is cross platform Windows and UNIX I
would think it could run on Linux as well. Microsoft recommended using
this product (SourceOffSite) to run with VSS on different (Non
 Windows) platform.
