Whether you use CVSNTUpd.exe (which I wrote and know has issues) or a POSTCOMMIT 
script like is described here (again by me, with additions by Ris Mesner):

you are strongely urged to update only a _test_ site automatically.  It is far 
too easy to break a production web site when doing auto updates.
