[cvsnt] Removing modules from CVS Server ?

What's the procedure for removing a module forever on CVS Server?

Let say we have an obsolete module called 'foo' on the server that
we no longer want to keep around (not even in attic)

Is it safe to just go to the server and delete the 'foo' directory? 



C:\CVSREPO\DEV\CVSROOT  <-- THe admin directory
C:\CVSREPO\DEV\foo      <-- want to get rid of this one
C:\CVSREPO\DEV\bar      <-- want to keep this one
