[cvsnt] Protocol error; misformed Notify request

Hi..

While I was writing this post I had the idea of doing a clean checkout, and
it worked. then I tried to update each module by hand to eventually find the
broken file. I found it, deleted it, and everything's ok now.

However, since it seems 1 file's "log" (or whatever cvs keeps locally) was
broken, I guess cvsnt could have mentioned the filename, or detected the
corruption in the info it sent to the server.

I'm still posting this 'for reference', maybe somebody can use it.

(PS. How exactly does tortoisecvs abort a cvsnt operation?

I'm using the same version of cvsnt for months now and suddenly it's
complaining.

On the client I'm using Tortoise and its bundled cvsnt 2.0.41.0.

I'm using two servers, 1 running cvsnt I have no problem with and the other
running regular cvsnt under linux. The last one I'm _suddenly_ having
problems with.

cvs update stops with "Protocol error; misformed Notify request", after
printing all those lines beginning with "? xxxx" for the unknown files.
Adding a lot of -t's on the command line didn't print any more info between
the ?'s and the error. Updating cvsnt client didn't solve anything either.

All this occured after I launched an accidental "cvs edit" with tortoise on
the cvsroot (the local cvs dir) and quickly clicked the "abort" button. It
seemed then nothing had happened yet. But apparently some files got changed,
'cause now there's no way to "cvs update".

A checkout in a new, empty, folder works fine.
