I've found http://www.debian.org/MailingLists/disclaimer I'll adopt this on the cvsnt list as it covers the subject quite well (and they've asked lawyers about it). They absolutely refuse to remove messages for any reason - which sounds extreme to me but seems to work for them. Tony
