[cvsnt] Image Corruption ?

I used my tortoise CVS client to import my files, and all was ok that time.

Set up a cvswrappers file in your CVSROOT.  See this for details:

http://www.cvsnt.org/manual/Wrappers.html

In your case, you'll want a line that looks like this:

*.gif	-k 'b'
