[cvsnt] Recording information in CVS

Not easy understanding what you mean here...
The way the CVS server works is to accept commands conecrning the version
control from the client, then perform these commands and return a result code.

At certain points in the handling sequence CVS will also execute commands
stored in various scripts in CVSROOT, like loginfo, taginfo, notify, commitinfo,
postcommand etc.

You can program whatever you like yourself from these scripts, for example if
you just want to record stuff then the best bet is probably postcommand.
Trigger the start of a program from postcommand and do whetever you like in this
program!

Hi all,
Can anyone help me plz,

What i want is to record the following information while checking in:
-Configurable Item Version No.
-Configurable Item release date
-Configuration Authors name,
and  is there any reports that can be generated by CVS just as VSS.

Does CVS generate any outputs such as:
-Change request form,
-Change reques Log,
-Configuration Status report
-Configuration Audit report.
