The documentation states that the default parmeters for postcommand actions
are the module followed by the command, I"m just relying on the default
behavior and it does appear to work fine.

I'll try the "net use" statement but I don't think that is the problem it
appears to be more fundimental to the xcopy (see my reply to Tony's post).
