It's now 2 days past "tomorrow" and I cannot connect to the cvs
repository at cvsnt.org...
ping cvs.cvsnt.org results in:

c:\>ping cvs.cvsnt.org
Pinging cvs.cvsnt.org [195.149.46.162] with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.

Is the new IP a different one from what DNS is giving me? Maybe the
new address (if any) has not propagated yet?

But the newsserver is OK, is it not on the same domain?

c:\>ping news.cvsnt.org
Pinging news.cvsnt.org [69.93.197.231] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 69.93.197.231: bytes=32 time=148ms TTL=46

Note the completely different IP address (not even the same base).
