[cvsnt] Cvs commit in batches of 1000

"Protocol error: too many arguments"

Is there a way to do a 'cvs commit' but have it commit files in batches
of 1000 files? I am running into problems trying to commit several
thousand files and it exceeds the maximum number of options.
