[cvsnt] Number of current users

Joe,

The number of "logged in" users is an odd thing. CVSNT is not a
monolithic server like Oracle - it only runs when someone runs a
command. So "logging in" only generates activity and processes on the
server for a fraction of a second. However each time you run a command
you effectively "log in" again.

CVSNT has an audit facility - if you are running the server on windows
use the control panel, otherwise look in /etc/cvsnt/ for the
configuration flies. The Audit sends sessionlog records to a database
of your choice (currently DB2, MSSQL, MySQL, SQLite).

Performance problems like this are notoriously difficult to sort out - I
strongly recomment you contact our sales team about professional
support, consulting, training (and repository replication if you want
it).

Regards,

Arthur Barrett

Subject: [cvsnt] Number of current users

Hi, Just wondering if any of you know of a way to determine who is
currently using the CVSNT server? We are having a problem in which a
satellite group claims they can only connect 12 developers at any given
time. So is there a way to tell who is logged into cvsnt? Are there
any auditing, monitoring, logging tools available right now?

Thanks-
Joe Woytasik
