There are starting to be some reasonable native Windows shell ports if
Cygwin ever proves to be an issue.  Even Microsoft provide native ports
in Services for UNIX, which you could in theory use depending on your
build machine.  But it sounds like it ain't broke at the moment, so
little point or incentive to fix it.
