I am assuming that what your trying to pass in is a specific path which 
contains spaces. If this is the case then I would expect you to do the 
following which is standard for Windows 2000 & above & if you still have it 
even Windows 95/98/Me with Fat32 partitions.

test.bat "C:/This is a/Path which contains/Space and should/Be the first 
parameter" "C:/Another/Path with spaces"

Therefore if test.bat contained the following

echo Var1=%1
echo Var2=%2

would produce the following output

Var1="C:/This is a/Path which contains/Space and should/Be the first 
parameter"
Var2="C:/Another/Path with spaces"
