[cvsnt] Branching and labelling

Greetings to  All

I am new to CVS. I have just started exploring CVS. We are using sspi protorcol.
I have the following queries.

1. How to create branches
2. How to create labels
3. How to merge from subbranch to main branch
4. How to restrict users to create branches and labels
5. How to implement triggers
6. Any disadvantages with branching in cvs

I have implemented all the above in ClearCase. Can anybody through some ideas on the above queries.
