[cvsnt] Query about deleting branches and tags from repository to improve performance

Thanks for the information Arthur,
I've downloaded 2.5.04 and will be trying it out today. I've seen the changeset & bugnumber stuff mentioned in the past but I can't find much documentation about it other than a brief description of the commands in the manual.
Do you know if there are any pages describing how these features can be used in a bit more detail? This could be a good long term solution for me, however in the short term my question still stands: is there a reliable way to completely delete branches?
Having reviewed our repository I probably only need about 5 branches and perhaps 200 tags so if possible it would make sense to do some housekeeping. I have been investigating the admin -o <range> command but I don't know how easy it would be to automate across my whole repository.
