[cvsnt] Using -r and -D together while applying a tag

I give this command:
 
cvs -d CVSROOT rtag -a -D "2008-9-10 10:00" -r BranchA -- Tagabc ProjectA

I get this error : 

cvs [rtag aborted]: -r and -D options are mutually exclusive

Can I use these switches together.
