[Cvsnt] update file before editing

Hi,

it ist possible to running update before editing a file in one command
line? (extending the "cvs edit" to do "cvs update AND edit")
The intention is to have always the current version of a file from server
before editing it (in order to avoid an unnecessary merge).

I'm really looking forward for hints.
