[cvsnt] installation problem

installed cvsnt 2.1.1 on w2k. Restarted.
introduced 2 repositories: c:\cvsrepo and c:\cvstest
clicked on "repository prefix" so that the list of valid repositories
shows: / and (C:/cvstest/)

No test will work,
ERROR: cvs [ls aborted]: No valid repository roots defined.  Aborting.

cvs -d :sspi:localhost:/ ls -l -R
cvs -d :sspi:localhost:C:/cvstest/ ls -l -R
cvs -d :sspi:localhost:C:/cvstest ls -l -R
cvs -d :sspi:localhost:/cvstest/ ls -l -R
cvs -d :sspi:localhost:/cvstest ls -l -R
cvs -d :sspi:localhost:C:\cvstest\ ls -l -R
cvs -d :sspi:localhost:C:\cvstest ls -l -R

Any Idea what to do next?
