[cvsnt] Instable release version?!?

First of all: sorry for posting the report twice (it was late last 
night...)!

I just found it confusing that the current release version (with an 
older version number) has a newer date than the development version. 
(Typically the development version is rather new)

Then I found (at least I thought) that the development version works 
better, so I thought you might have mixed up the 2 files. My fault, sorry.

I set up the newer version on a different computer, there it worked. But 
I still can't make CVSNT (both versions) work on the first computer 
(where it has to run in the end).
(Both computers are running Win2K Prof. (german version), have all 
service packs and security fixes installed and nearly no other software 
(mainly drivers) installed.


When I try to commit 3 files on the "bad" computer this is what I see 
(TurtoiseCVS, WinCVS gives same results)

...and here it seems to hang.


Doing the same thing on the other computer gives :

Any ideas what's wrong here?

I didn't check, but on
http://www.cvsnt.org/wiki/InstallationTips#head-c7116629a6a855cb774d9c7c8ad822fd83c71fb5
it is claimed that you HAVE TO reboot.

The path variable was never set on both computers I tried. (So I had to 
set it manually)
