Folks,

Here is the scenario. This may seem dumb but need your insight. I have a
file which is checked out(r1.1) and I made modifications to it. I once
again
imported(r1.2) the file and someone made more modifications to it(r1.3).

After a while, we wanted to go back to the earliest edition of the
file(r1.1). How do I retrieve the file.

My setup is wincvs and cvsnt are running on windows xp pro.

Thanks for your valuable time.

Raj.

Thanks a lot. I got it working. But now, where does it store the
different
versions? Using wincvs, how can I go back to a previous version? Can I
see
the revision history?

it is my guess that you do not have any entries under the "Valid
Repository
Roots" list on the Repositories tab in the control panel applet

http://www.cvsnt.org/wiki/InstallationTips - check out the control panel
configuration stuff

This is what I have done.

After completely installing the CVSNT and stopping and starting the
service,
I have opened a new command window and type this:

Set cvsroot=:sspi:<server name>:/TEST
Then

Cvs ls -l -r

It gave me the following error:
Cvs [ls aborted]: No valid repository roots defined. Aborting.

Yes, the client I am using is wincvs.

Raj.

Your client is wincvs, yes?

Is this message on the client or on the server?

How do I overcome the error " No valid repository roots defined.
Aborting" ?
I have done the setup exactly as defined in the link given below. I am
using
sspi.
Help me out.

Thanks,
Raj.

Keith,

Thanks a lot for your help. But the common errors I get while setting
CVSNT
up and running are as follows:
Connection to server failed
I am trying to use sspi.

Thanks,

Raj.

Hi,

I am having trouble in setting up the wincvs client and server in our
company and was looking for help.
I would greatly appreciate if you can share your knowledge of setting up
the
server on a WindowsXP pro machine and similar machines for clients. What
all
do I need to do to get this setup.

Thanks,

Raj.
