Hey all!

Have you been yearning for a way to break into CVS development? Do you
sit up nights wondering if atomic commits or mergepoints are the best
way to start a conversation with the CVS developers? Do you thirst for
experience writing texinfo documentation?

Well, now's your chance!

The CVSNT and CVS code bases both have a lot of useful features and the
two teams are looking for a volunteer or volunteers to begin the process
of remerging the two code bases!

No merging of the two code bases has been done since version 1.11.1p1 of
CVS, so this will be an exciting task! What is needed is someone to
parse the features and bug fixes to CVSNT, reformat them as single
feature/bugfix patches with accompanying documentation and submit them
back to the bug-cvs at gnu.org mailing list for discussion! When new
features and bugfixes are reviewed and a reasonable compromise is
reached when operational discrepancies are found between the two
applications, the documentation needs to be finalized and test cases
written for a final commit!

Don't pass up this golden opportunity! CVS needs _you_!

Derek
