It depends if they do 'cvsnt things'.  The option changes the output
from the version command, and supresses the extra fields in rlog and
status (essentially making -X default).  It does mean that eg. WinCVS
parsing the mergepoints from the log to produce graphs won't work
properly any more with that option selected.

If you put

rlog -x
status -x

in your CVSROOT/cvsrc, you'll get the fields back... however that
might negatively impact WSAD....
