Fine, this root means thatyou are *not* supposed to do a cvs login!

Which means that you don't have cvs on your path and so you cannot
invoke the cvs command from the command prompt.
During CVSNT install the path is modified to include cvs, so you might
want to check this and possibly reboot your PC (since the system path
variable changes often do not become available until after a restart).

Of couyrse, since you were not able to execute the command! What did
you expect?
