The following steps where carried out while setting up
the Server & client

Not able to configure.

Server- cvsnt
System- ABC
OS - Win2000

Client- TortoiseCVS
System- CDE
OS - Win2000

1. CVSNT was installed in the following
path,C:\Program Files\CVSNT
2. Created a Folder in c. C:\Repository
3. Using control panel of CVSNT , stopped the cvs
service(cvslock service running), and created a
repository folder in C:\Repository & Initialised it.
Started the cvs service.
4. Through the windows system variable the environment
variable was set(also tried in cmd prompt)

set CVSROOT=:local:c:\Repository

5. Imported the data to the repository.

Test - Source code folder
c:\test>cvs import -m test test vendor release

6. The folder test was added into the repository

7. We created a folder and checked out the config file
and modified the "System auth=no" & commited into the
repository.

8. Adding password:

c:>cvs passwd -a sandhya
new passwd: a123
verify passwd: a123

User Suresh was created with password.

Now a passwd file was created in the
CVSROOT.".#passwd".

Client side:

1. Created a diectory in c:

C:>checkout

2. Right click on the folder & select "cvs checkout"

protocol: pserver
server: ABC
port: 2401
Repository:/repository also tried
Repository : c:/repository
username : Suresh (Client user name)
Module : test

	 CVSROOT=:pserver:Suresh at ABC:2401/Repository

we get the following message :No such repository
