I've installed Oracle 9i and 8i before, it's really not that bad.  It 
helps that my wife is an Oracle Master though ;)

The CD's you got are mostly documentation (or maybe alternate versions 
for the various OS' out there).  IIRC the Win installer should fit on 
1-2 CDs.
