[cvsnt] authorization problems

Need some help troubleshooting this problem. I am getting the following
error message when I attempt to check out a module.

 

authorization failed: server <<servername>> rejected access to /CVS for user
srini

 

Server - Win 2K

Client - Win XP - access over the internet

 

A different user name is able to checkout. (from the same client
workstation)

 

This same username was checking in/out modules comfortably for > 1 month.
Suddently it quit working. 2 events could be contributing to this but I cant
figure out which/why

 

-        Last week - I accessed the same repository using a local IP @.
(Went to the same site and accessed in the local network). Now I am back at
my location and am accessing the repository over the internet. 

 

-        sshd was installed on the server during this period. 

 

Any suggestions on where to look for troubleshooting this problem.
