[cvsnt] cannot open CVS/Entries for reading

hello

I obtained the same error in the computer of my boss; but this time I have 
all the error, if it like to you tell me the origin of this error and how y 
remedier, and why in my computer everything works well without any error ?

This error takes place when I want to checkout a module, here the error:

cvs checkout: in directory .:
cvs checkout: cannot open CVS/Entries for reading: No such file or directory


I wish to have a fast answer because the manager will chose tomorrow on the 
use of cvs in the company, and if I do not arrive to resolve this bug, it is 
a point of less for cvs;
