[cvsnt] Problem with CVSNT and Windows Server 2008 64bit

Hello! Hopefully someone can help me with my problem.

I will give you a bit of background first - bear with me!

We has CVS running on a linux environment and have had to migrate it to Windows.
I temporarily set up CVSNT on my own PC and (eventually!) got everything working.
I am now attempting to set up CVSNT version 2.5.04.3510 on Windows Server 2008 64 bit. It has all installed ok but I do not appear to be able to login either from a command prompt or remotely from another computer.
The cvsroot is set to :pserver:DOMAIN\cvs at IPADDRESS:/REPOSITORY
The error I get it "Connection Refused: Fatal error, aborting. DOMAIN/cvs: switch to user failed due to configuration error. Contact your system administrator"
The user cvs has full administrator rights and the software was installed under this user.
I know the path etc is correct as if I put in the wrong password then I get an error telling me so.

I have seen this error reported previously in the forums but none of the problems seem to be exactly like mine (other people seem to be able to login using certain users - I have never been able to login in) and the solutions don't work for me and/or I don't understand them!

Please bear in mind that my knowledge of Window Server 2008 (or any windows server) is limited.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much.
